Merchant and accommodation-owner terms
Responsibilities for accurate listings, customer information, payments and property verification.
Updated 2 October 2026 · South Africa
1. Onboarding and business capacity
Supply accurate owner, business and contact information and act only for businesses you are authorised to represent. One account can manage businesses within the active plan capacity. Each business has its own listings and settings. A subscription or paid promotion does not substitute for verification.
2. Listings, fulfilment and customer rights
Describe products, services, prices, applicable taxes, delivery fees and fulfilment estimates accurately. Accept or reject orders promptly and communicate delays. Show cancellation terms before a customer commits. Honour applicable CPA and ECTA rights, including eligible electronic cooling-off cancellations and remedies for defective goods. The refunds policy explains the different routes.
3. Payments, fees and refunds
Offer only payment methods you have configured and are authorised to use. Provider charges and settlement conditions depend on your provider agreement; any platform charges must be disclosed before purchase. SoulNet does not promise escrow, a fixed payout cycle or automatic refunds from merchant funds.
PayFast recurring billing is a platform-subscription feature, not permission to create recurring charges for merchant orders. It uses the card details and recurring-payment controls handled by PayFast; merchants must not collect or store card numbers, CVVs or banking passwords in listings, messages or support requests.
Resolve valid refund requests through the original payment channel where possible. Platform administrators may assist with recorded payments and supported provider refund tools, but this does not guarantee reversal of external payments. Never mark an unpaid order as paid without reliable confirmation.
4. Accommodation verification and availability
Accommodation owners submit properties and rooms for admin review before publication. Owners must demonstrate identity, contact details, authority to let the property, correct address and safety checks. Admin personal approval requires a recorded reason, relationship, visit and checks; it cannot establish NSFAS accreditation.
Official accreditation claims require separate evidence review and expiry checks. Do not misrepresent accreditation or promise NSFAS funding. Keep room availability accurate and reconfirm it regularly; occupied, reserved, maintenance and unavailable rooms must not be advertised as available. Important listing changes must be reviewed again before publication.
Do not collect accommodation fees from NSFAS beneficiaries through the platform. Accommodation supports enquiries without collecting rent, deposits or application fees. Planned owner subscription charges will require separate published pricing and acceptance.
5. Customer information and enforcement
Use customer information for the enquiry, booking or order for which it was supplied. Do not sell it or add customers to marketing lists without an appropriate lawful basis and required consent. Secure documents and customer records. Do not upload identity or banking documents to public galleries.
We may request corrections, remove misleading content or suspend unsafe or fraudulent listings. Contact support to request review. The main terms and privacy policy also apply; mandatory legal rights remain unaffected.
